Over the summer of 2024 around 12,000 people shared messages of peace, love and hope at Lincoln Cathedral as they participated in the creation of a paper dove which would contribute to the magnificent suspended art installation by Peter Walker Sculptor ‘Peace Doves’.

One person’s prayer may feel small, but as they come together in a flock of doves soaring above the nave of the Cathedral, you sense the tangible presence of a deep movement towards peace.

The installation is accompanied by music composed by David Harper, adding to the unique atmosphere found in the Nave of Lincoln Cathedral.  Peace Doves at Lincoln Cathedral from 5th September to 13th November 2024.
