Patches – 2017/2018

Thousands of knitted and crocheted patches donated by members of the public turned into the large scale art installation called ‘Patches’. The patches are strewn together and wrap architectural features. 

The artwork represents women in the domestic home front through WW1 and the ‘make do and mend’ culture.
